Elaine Spatz-Rabinowitz was born in the Bronx, New York City, and now lives and works in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she has shown widely, principally at the Howard Yezerski Gallery in Boston. Her signature works of oil paintings on cast, pigmented Hydrocal plaster are held in numerous public and private collections, among them the Addison Gallery of American Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Spatz-Rabinowitz is the recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Bunting Institute, and the Massachusetts Cultural Foundation.
