The Boston Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (BosNOMA) and the Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA) welcome Michael Ford Assoc. AIA—also known as The Hip Hop Architect—to Boston for a lecture exploring hip hop as a revolutionary approach to thinking about and creating architecture.
Michael speaks to the impact of three interconnected realms—education, practice, and media—and their potential to raise the cultural awareness of architectural practitioners and create opportunities to increase the recruitment, retention, and immediate contribution of underrepresented communities in the profession.
Mike Davis FAIA, president of Bergmeyer Associates and member of the BSA Foundation Board of Trustees, will introduce this multi-media event. A reception in the BSA Space Gallery will follow.
