Welcome to the Boston Architecture Diary, your essential guide to architecture exhibitions and events taking place across the city.
Boston Architectural College (BAC) students develop essential competencies in the classroom and in professional design settings simultaneously. As they explore ideas in school and find direct application through practice, our students' learning extends beyond the studio to the office and the city. Through these enduring educational partnerships with committed practitioners, the BAC stands out by design from other accredited design programs.
In this spirit, the BAC's professional architecture programs offer students participation in the Integrated Path to Accelerated Licensure (IPAL) initiative through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). IPAL provides an opportunity for students working in design offices to achieve architectural licensure upon graduation.
This exhibit celebrates our IPAL partners - eight design firms with long histories and strong relationships with the College - who offer robust guidance, support, and mentorship to our students as they navigate pathways to the profession. Through the exchange of knowledge, skills, and values, the dialogue between practitioners and educators enriches the education of a BAC student and promotes emergent modes of professional design practice.
