CHANGING PERSPECTIVES: DRAWING, PHOTOGRAPHY AND THE POWER OF LINE

Saturday 7 July, 11am to 4pm

Saturday 14 July, 11am to 4pm

Develop practical skills in both drawing and photography and experiment with perspective as a technical and ideological tool.

This two-day workshop, held over two weekends, will explore the role of perspective in architectural representation through drawing and photography. Discover the RIBA’s vast collection of drawings and photographs at 66 Portland Place before moving off-site to critically and creatively explore the power of physical and philosophical viewpoints in architectural representation.

The workshop will conclude with a presentation of work produced and a discussion about how perspective, and perspective illusion, may impact on our understanding of the built environment around us.

The event is led by artist Marianne Holm Hansen and is suitable for students and adults aged 18 and over. No previous experience necessary.
