Welcome to the London Architecture Diary, your essential guide to architecture exhibitions and events taking place across the city, brought to you by New London Architecture.
Four of the UK's most exciting young architectural practices join us to talk about recent projects and the nature of their work.
OMMX was founded by Hikkaru Nissanke and Jon Lopez, and has worked on housing, private residences, galleries, offices, festivals and exhibitions. In 2019 the firm was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award.
Gatti Routh Rhodes was established by Richard Gatti, Tom Routh and Stefanie Rhodes. Their most recent project was Bethnal Green Mission Church, opened in 2018.
Cooke Fawcett Architects was founded by Oliver Cooke and Francis Fawcett, both of whom worked with Herzog & de Meuron Architects. The practice has completed private residences, along with Peckham Observatory atop Bold Tendencies’ repurposed car park.
Office S&M began in 2013, founded by Catrina Steward and Hugh McEwan. Celebrating colour, materiality and everyday stories, the practice has completed several new-build houses, street regeneration and public realm projects.
