Welcome to the London Architecture Diary, your essential guide to architecture exhibitions and events taking place across the city, brought to you by New London Architecture.
Architecture of London will explore how the capital’s buildings have been depicted by, and provided inspiration for, artists over the centuries.
From the seventeenth century to the present day, the exhibition will feature a collection of original paintings illustrating street scenes, outstanding vistas and views from artists’ windows, as well as London’s ever-changing skyline and evolving architecture in the immediate aftermath of, and the years following, the Second World War. Masterpieces by renowned and emerging artists, such as Canaletto, John Gipkyn, Samuel Scott, Uzo Egonou, Lucian Freud, and Catherine Yass.
Architecture of London is sponsored by Cheapside Business Alliance, Diocese of London and Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects.
