The most popular of the Sir Peter Hendy Routemaster tours around the development hot spots of the capital, this year’s trip will take in London’s tallest towers as well as contextual regeneration.
Sir Peter Hendy, Chairman of Network Rail, the London Legacy Development Corporation and former Commissioner for Transport of London, will be our driver and Peter Murray, Curator in Chief of New London Architecture and Chairman of The London Society, will be the conductor.
Our stellar cast of guides will include:
Harry Badham, Head of Development, AXA-IM, who is building 22 Bishopsgate;
Annie Hampson OBE, Chief Planning Officer and Development Director for the City of London Corporation; Geoff Harris, Head of Development, Nuveen Real Estate, will show us 70 St Mary Axe among other developments; Stella Ioannou, Director of Sculpture in the City; Gerald Kaye, Chief Executive of Helical will give a tour of Barts Square;
Matt Massey of Derwent London will talk about the company’s projects in City Road; Gareth Roberts, Head of Broadgate Development, British Land;
Martin Wallace, Head of Leasing, Brookfield will discuss 100 Bishopsgate and Principal Place.
Speakers from Mitsubishi, Broadgate and Goldman Sachs are to be confirmed.
The evening will end with a networking reception.
The tour will be raising money for safer streets and greater diversity in the built environment professions.
