Architecture on your Bike - Baroque 'n' Roll Revivals

14 March 10:00 - 13:00
Organized by: Open House London Architecture Tours
Meet: Outside St. Paul's Cathedral Churchyard

The Baroque! The term is as fluid and unfathomable as its subject-matter. It provides an unstable point of reference to a recurrent but elusive strand in cultural history, linking the decadent glories of the eastern Roman Empire with the tumultuous opulence of Counter-Reformation Europe, the pomp and circumstance of Edwardian England and the calculated excesses of Brutalism and Post-Modernism. This tour explores some of the many manifestations - both familiar and surprising - of the Baroque spirit in London's architecture.

Join this cycle tour led by expert architectural guide and sample some of this bewildering variety from the comfort of your saddle.

Ends in Greenwich 1pm approx.

You MUST bring your own bike. For competent cyclists ONLY
