The housing industry is constantly pushing the boundaries of construction, in particular around modular and prefabricated homes. However, are we doing enough to reverse the “inexorable decline” predicted for the construction industry in The Farmer Review? Major new efforts in the delivery of affordable housing are being made, but how can we push these modern methods to deliver at the pace required?

In March 2017 NLA will be joined by Deputy Mayor for Housing, James Murray, for the first of our bi-annual housing conferences. A group of industry experts will come together with the Deputy Mayor to look at the Supplementary Planning Guidance and assess how we can be innovative in our approach to affordability and construction within these new parameters.     Speakers include   James MurrayDeputy Mayor for Housing, Greater London Authority  Mark Farmer, CEO, Cast Consultancy  Ben Derbyshire, Partner, HTA  Sara Muzio, Creative Strategist, dRMM  Kieran White, Managing Director, Vision Modular Systems Sarah Halpin, Senior Structural Engineer, RambollAndy von Bradsky, Design and Delivery Adviser, Housing-led Regeneration, DCLG Ken Rorrison, Design Manager, LB Hackney  Peter Murray, Chairman, New London Architecture (Chair)   Further speakers to be announced…
