Welcome to the London Architecture Diary, your essential guide to architecture exhibitions and events taking place across the city, brought to you by New London Architecture.
This year’s RIBA London Awards saw a record number of winning entries. To reflect the breadth of exceptional schemes selected by this year’s juries, RIBA London is pleased to present a Great British Buildings lecture series in addition to this year’s building tours.
Throughout Autumn we will be exploring four different building typologies: Housing, Education, Civic and Arts and Heritage
Join us on Wednesday 1st of November for our final talk on Arts and Heritage as we discuss three of this year’s exemplar schemes:
Bidisha Sinha, Senior Associate at Zaha Hadid Architects will discuss their striking design for Mathematics at the Science Museum's Winton Gallery.
Stephanie McDonald, Director at 6a Architects will disscuss their Stirling Prize nominated Studio for Juergen Teller.
Simon Fraser, Partner at Allies and Morrison and Jan Hobel, John Pawson will discuss their combined effort to turn the former Commonwealth Institute into a new home for the Design Museum.
Get an exclusive insight into each project, followed by a panel discussion exploring the intricacies of working within the Arts and Heritage typology chaired by David Howarth, Founding Director of DRDH Architects and Jury Chair for West London.
