Join us for this special walking tour of the area between Borough and the reconfigured Elephant and Castle gyratory - a unique part of Zone 1, quickly emerging as a central London residential hotspot.

Explore this fast changing and controversial area of London, visiting key sites of development including Amanda Levete's Ark Globe Academy, the 28 acre Elephant Park site masterplanned by MAKE Architects with projects by MaccreanorLavington, Panter Hudspith, Squire & Partners, AHMM and dRMM and Rolfe Judd Architecture's Tabard Square, with updates on infrastructure and construction projects crucial to the area’s future development including the Elephant and Castle gyratory, the proposed shopping centre and mixed use development by Allies and Morrison, as well as the long term plans for the Bakerloo Line extension.

Led by an NLA Blue Badge Guide, this walk will investigate the area’s future as it undergoes dramatic change and explore the issues and challenges being faced.
