City to Sea: Coney Island

City to Sea: Coney Island is presented by City to Sea artists and Coney Island residents in association with Goldsmiths, University of London, UK. 


Through photography and audio-visual installations, the exhibition explores Coney Island narratives, from amusement parks and rides to the ongoing architectural redevelopment and recovery from Superstorm Sandy.


Opening Reception: Thursday, September 13, 2018, 5.30 PM to 7.30 PM, all welcome.


Public Hours: Tues: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wed, Thurs, Fri: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sat: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Sept. 22, Oct. 20 only).


Artist talks and community conversations:  Saturday, September 22: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 2: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, October 20: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 25: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM (Closing Event).  


Rebecca Locke and David Kendall curate the City to Sea Project with the ongoing support of the Centre for Urban and Community Research, Goldsmiths, University  of London and Openvizor.
