LOOS AND PILSEN: Exploring the Secret of Adolf Loos

The multi-media exhibition project aims to present Adolf Loos’ unique interior design work as a result of the architect’s long-term activity in Pilsen, Czech Republic, which is not very well known to the international audience. Special attention will be paid to the architect’s return to Pilsen in 1927 and the respective families’ and flats’ fates from 1939 to the current reconstructions. The exhibition will be on view January 21 - March 11, 2021 at Czech Center New York Gallery, which will be open to visitors with a limited capacity on WEDNESDAYS 1pm-4pm by APPOINTMENT ONLY.   An Online Conference - Adolf Loos: In Search of Space for Modern Life on March 4th, 2pm ET and Online Concert - Pilsner Jazz Band live from Loos' interior in Pilsen on February 26, 8pm ET will be held as a part of the additional programming.
