Welcome to the New York Architecture Diary, your essential guide to architecture exhibitions and events taking place across the city.
This tour with architecture historian and author Francis Morrone, second in the series, takes place in the traditionally most affluent part of Park Slope - the “Gold Coast” as it was once called. It includes Grand Army Plaza and such landmark streets as Montgomery Place and Carroll Street, and the mansions of Prospect Park West. We will also look at works by architects including Francis H. Kimball, Henry Ogden Avery, C.P.H. Gilbert, Stanford White, and Montrose W. Morris.
