Welcome to the New York Architecture Diary, your essential guide to architecture exhibitions and events taking place across the city.
Picking up where the Introduction to Moldings course leaves off, participants will review the major profile shapes and the basic guiding principles and theories involved in the usage of moldings. Participants will be guided through reference materials prepared by David Ellison and Stephen Trudic, owner of Cleveland area millshop, Mouldings One. These materials consolidate and synthesize information from a variety of sources on the subject of moldings and their usage, and illustrate shapes and proportions specific to different architectural styles. A discussion of historical reference materials and modern sources will follow.
